Meet Stephen

Before becoming a real estate broker in 2016, John L. Scott Yakima West’s Stephen Boynton was an electrician for commercial and residential projects. As an electrician he was among the first people on a project, digging trenches and laying conduit for pulling wire, and one of the last to leave before the home was finished. It was Stephen’s desire to be involved with the home buying and selling process after a home is complete that led him to become a real estate broker.

Stephen works with variety of clients – from those looking to relocate to a new home, purchase a commercial property for their business, invest in an income property or sell their current home. Due to his past residential construction experience, Stephen truly understands how homes are built and what they look like when you strip through all the cosmetic finishes. This knowledge provides his clients with the unique benefit of working with someone who not only has their best interests at heart, but also possesses the background to spot a good investment or potential problem at the get-go.

Whether working with buyer or seller clients, Stephen aims to be a hands-on guide throughout the process. People often describe Stephen as attentive, low pressure and dedicated to their goals. In today’s market, there are endless ways to market a property, and Stephen develops a tailored plan with his seller clients to maximize exposure and secure a stellar offer. Depending on the property, he may use a combination of social media marketing, neighborhood flyers, open houses, drone photography or virtual tours to promote the listing.

Though much of Stephen’s life revolves around real estate and growth, he balances that through staying physically active with hobbies such as softball, golf, weight training, kayaking and hiking. He also has served as a longtime volunteer for the Children’s Miracle Network of hospitals and donates his time and money to animal causes like the Humane Society.

Reviews

"Stephen made a complicated sale seem easy. Through complex repairs and tough negotiations, he was always available, quick to respond and well-informed. He had multiple resources, experts, plumbers, contractors to confer with and get second opinions. Stephen is smart, honest and straightforward without being harsh. He’s positive while being realistic, and just a nice person who is easy to work with. We are excited to work with him again. We would recommend him to everyone."
